We are still under the Laws of Moses

Today many people believe that we are now free from the laws of Moses since Yeshua died on the cross. Many people believe that the laws of Moses are harsh. Thus, we don't have to follow these laws. Others may think that the law changes as society changes. And then some people who follow Paul's view of Moses's Law. They believe that following the Laws of Moses does not justify anyone in heaven. As much as I hate to be the bearer of bad news I must say that all of these views about the Law are wrong.
Jesus himself says in the New Testament, that before one letter or stroke of the Law is erased both the heavens and the earth will pass away. Seeing how we are all still walking on this earth and can see the sky above, I think it is safe to say that these laws are still in full effect.
So how did the idea that we are no longer under the Laws of Moses come about if we are still under these laws? Well, the short answer is simply Paul. There will be a post soon on my feelings about Christianity's Paul. For now, though I will stick to the topic of discussion in this post. Paul started the belief that Yeshua fulfilled the Law of Moses when he died on the cross.
However, a law is not made to be fulfilled nor can a law be fulfilled. Laws are made to be followed and Yeshua was a true believer in following the Laws of Moses.
Gentiles wanted to be included as God's people. Yet, there are some of the Laws of Moses that they did not want to follow such as the law of circumcision. Paul began to preach that Gentiles were not held to the law as the Israelites were. He even preached that circumcision was a spiritual thing and that a male did not have to actually be circumcised.
Now if God holds his own chosen people to a law then you best believe a Gentile will be held to that same law. Why would God require one set of people to follow a law and allow another set of people that he did not choose to do as they please and still be saved? God doesn't work like that and this is only one example of how people came to think that we are no longer under the Laws of Moses.
People believe that the Law is harsh and hard to follow but truly it is not. These are things we should follow whether we believe in God or not. It is wrong to lie, steal, and murder according to human standards and God's standards. If someone did any of these crimes to you, you would indeed call the police. Thus, the laws of God are not too harsh.
Those who believe they are automatically saved since Yeshua died on the cross and they believe in him are in for a rude awakening when they go on to the next life. If everyone was automatically saved there would be no need for judgment in the end. If everyone who believed that Yeshua died on the cross was automatically saved then the very many satans would be saved as well.
We are still under the Laws of Moses and getting dipped in some water will not save you. You are only saved if you truly love and only worship YHWH and you try your very best to follow his law. God knows that no one is perfect. That is why he sent his son to redeem those who are his. To redeem those who actually try their best to follow the law and love God with all their heart, mind, and soul. God could honestly care less about the sin you commit. What God truly cares about is what is on your mind and heart when you sin.
